
Replacing Legacy Telco Copper (POTS) Lines
The landscape of internet technology has experienced rapid changes. Before the age of wireless internet technologies, connectivity was primarily delivered through copper wires known commonly as plain old telephone service (POTS). POTS is a telephony service that uses copper wires to transmit dial tone service. POTS lines are typically used for connectivity to emergency phones in elevators as well as, alarm systems, legacy analog phone systems and fax machines. (more…)
