It’s the most wonderful time of the year. As December brings in chilly temperatures, festive lights, hot chocolate and time spent with family and friends, it is also a time to be thankful and more importantly, give back to others. Around the holidays many charities and organizations host events and drives to help those in the community who need it most. At One Ring Networks, philanthropy has always been one of our top priorities. In fact, for the fourth year in a row, we are happy to be donating Internet service to the Dallas-Forth Worth Toys for Tots.

Toys for Tots, is a program under the mission of the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve that collects new toys from October-December each year. Once the toys have been collected, they are distributed as gifts to less fortunate children throughout the community. To be successful, the program depends on a number of volunteers who are able to donate their time, skills and services. These collection sites and distribution centers also need technology to run back-office and behind-the-scenes operations. As a preferred Internet carrier that provides reliable Internet connection and fast installation, our services allow the Dallas-Ft. Worth Toys for Tots distribution center to focus on their mission of helping others, while we take care of what we do best – providing reliable, temporary Internet service.

This year we provided a 3 Mg data circuit to ensure DFW’s Toys for Tots can stage pick ups and deliveries via tablets and mobile devices, completely powering their order management system at the distribution facility.

Last year, the Dallas-Fort Worth community collected more than 200,000 toys and more than $400,000 in donations for local North Texas children. As this year’s Toys for Tots campaign winds down, we have hopes for an even more successful drive and are honored to be a part of a philanthropy that brings so many smiles to children’s faces.
